More and more devices and systems are connected to one another, exchanging data in real time and thereby creating a digital environment that makes our daily lives easier and opens up new opportunities for businesses.

The initial situation

TRIOLOGY GmbH was commissioned to develop a web-based platform with a modern front end, through which device data from the cloud can be visualised and interpreted.

The solution

This process has been digitised using software (a further development of TRIOLOGY) and the relevant hardware in the form of professional kitchen appliances. The appliances continuously send information to the cloud. This information includes the appliance’s current data, such as electricity and water consumption, the duration of the cooking programme and the individual cooking processes during the programme. The information is then retrieved via database queries to the cloud and stored in the software’s local database.

This includes location settings and general information about the appliance (time spent online, number of cleaning cycles, history of cooking programmes). To assign cooking programmes to the appliance, users can create cookbooks via the software and assign them to the appliance, allowing each appliance to be customised.

The result

The HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocol offers significant added value in this regard. In commercial kitchens, this feature ensures that strict statutory hygiene regulations are reliably adhered to. Using the application we provide, details of cooking times and temperature profiles can be tracked historically.

In addition, the app monitors the operating status of kitchen appliances via cloud data. It analyses the data collected and provides users with valuable information: How much electricity and water is being used? When was the appliance last cleaned? Is a new firmware version available?

Another benefit is the scheduled transfer of cookbooks to the devices. This allows seasonal offers to be prepared in advance and made available on the device at the right time.
